Rackliff Island Hideaway

Rackliff Island Hideaway
Escape to Rackliff Island Hideaway, a beautiful modern coastal home in Mid-Coast Maine. Perched at the highest point of a causeway-accessible island, this year-round retreat offers stunning ocean and island views, peaceful surroundings, and easy access to some of the area's best attractions.

The home features a spacious, light-filled open living area with floor-to-ceiling windows, comfortable furnishings, and beautiful views of the surrounding landscape. The well-equipped kitchen makes it easy to enjoy relaxed meals at home, while bedrooms positioned at opposite ends of the house provide privacy for families or couples traveling together.

Thoughtful details throughout the home include radiant-heated stone floors, refined finishes, and a spacious primary bath with a jetted tub.
Outside, enjoy the mature garden, where guests can explore, pick flowers, and sample blueberries in season. A walking path through the mossy forest offers a quiet place to wander, while a shared island beach provides an opportunity to enjoy the Maine coastline. The island's road creates a scenic loop of just over two miles—perfect for a morning walk or leisurely evening stroll.

The location is ideal for exploring Mid-Coast Maine, situated roughly halfway between Rockland and Port Clyde, each about a 20–25 minute drive away. McLoons Lobster Shack is approximately 10 minutes from the property, and the home is also convenient to the Monhegan Island ferry.

Whether you're planning a relaxing Maine island getaway or using the property as a base for exploring the coast, Rackliff Island Hideaway offers a peaceful and comfortable retreat surrounded by the natural beauty of Maine.
