Birch Cottage’s location is ideal for exploring everything the peninsula has to offer. Just down the street is picturesque Boothbay Harbor where you can enjoy the region’s best local seafood, craft breweries, ice cream, shopping, and seasonal festivities like the Windjammer Days Festival and July 4th fireworks and parade. Head down to the waterfront piers to rent kayaks, book a whale watch or puffin tour, or grab the ferry to Monhegan Island.

The property is minutes from some of the area’s most popular attractions including the renowned Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, Boothbay Opera House, Carousel Theater, Railway Village Museum, and the Boothbay Farmers Market.

The peninsula is home to the Boothbay Region Land Trust’s stunning nature preserves and more than 30 miles of well-maintained hiking trails. Cool off on the nearby beaches at Barrett’s Park and Hendrick’s Head, or the rugged shoreline at Ocean Point. All are a quick drive or bike ride from Birch Cottage.

Whether you're craving lobster rolls, nature walks, or time near the water, this cozy cottage is a comfortable and convenient home base. Just under an hour from Portland, it's the perfect family-friendly escape in Midcoast Maine.
