Built in 2019, the home feels bright, comfortable, and easy, with beautiful views of the water and surrounding islands from nearly every room. A first-floor bedroom and full bath make the layout especially nice for families and multi-generational stays, while plenty of gathering space gives everyone room to settle in.

Outside is where Island View really shines. The property sits along 207 feet of waterfront, with access to a private sandy beach just steps from the house. Launch a kayak and explore the cove, keep an eye out for seals, spend the afternoon at the water’s edge, or simply find a spot on the deck and take in the view.

And because a Maine getaway should include a few things you don’t have to think about, guests of Island View Cottage enjoy complimentary breakfast each morning of their stay at The Causeway Restaurant at the nearby Craignair Inn. Guests also receive a $100 dining credit for each week of their stay to put toward dinner at The Causeway — a pretty wonderful excuse to let someone else do the cooking.

Of course, this is Maine, after all, so dinner can also be as simple as picking up fresh lobster from a local boat around the corner and bringing it home to enjoy by the water.
Despite its tucked-away setting, Island View Cottage makes it easy to explore the Midcoast. Spend the day discovering Spruce Head Island and Port Clyde, wander the shops and restaurants of Rockland, or head north to Rockport and Camden.

Knox County Regional Airport is also just about 10 minutes away.
For larger groups traveling together, neighboring Lighthouse Cottage, a three-bedroom, two-bath cottage, may also be rented to create a seven-bedroom coastal retreat.
